USING RELATIVE PRONOUNS.

The relative pronouns are who,whose,whom,which, where , that and others.

WHO.

FORMATION -WHO+ VERB.

EXAMPLES.

A person who catches thief is called policeman.

This is a boy who won the race compitetion.

The person who flies an aeroplane is called pilot.

The one who teaches pupils or students is called a teacher.

Who eats a lot of food?

John is the one who likes playing football.

Who is the most greed?.

Who wrote a letter to our headmistress.

THE PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE.

This is known as past progressive tense.

Is the part of tenses which shows the action is ongoing in the past.

The format of past progressive tense(p.p.t) is

Noun/pronoun+ was/were+ ing..Examples.

  1. Mwanahamisi was eating ugali while John was playing football.
  2. They were dancing music.
  3. John and Ally were discussing mathematic yesterday.
  4. She was writing English notes during night.
  5. Yesterday Ester was drinking tea.
  6. It was raining heavily yesterday.
  7. Pupils were studying English when Their teacher intering in the class.
  8. You were crying a lot when you were young.
  9. I and Ally were playing football.

THE PRESENT CONTINUES TENSE.

Present continuous tense is the part of tenses which express the ongoing action. This means that as the speaker speaking the actions is happening at the same time. It’s formula is “ARE/IS +ING TO THE MAIN VERB.

EXAMPLES

  • Juma and Ally are watching TV now.
  • He is playing football.
  • Is he doing well to his studies?
  • The pupils are going to school.
  • Are the dancing bongo frever music?
  • We are listening radio.
  • They are eating ugali
  • He is playing games.

PRESENT SIMPLE TENSE.

Present simple tense is the part of tense which tells about the habitual events

Present simple tense tells how often the event occurs.

Consider the following examples:

: John goes to school on foot everyday.

:She always comes here to play football.

:John and Ally often eat ugali.

:They normally dance music .

: Pupils always like playing football.

The words normally, always, seldom, sometimes, and others are used to express the occurrences of the actions mentioned above eg like,eat ,comes,dance,goes,and others.

There are some verbs are affected by the addition of “s,es,ies” they depend on the subject of the sentence.

The subject of the sentence used above like he,she, it ,juma(one name) are dealing with the additional of s,ies,or es to the main verb.

Also there are scientist events automatically they cannot change its main verbs, examples

:The earth revolves around the sun

Water boils 100c

The sun rises from west .

The verb revolves,boils and rises are scientist actions so they cannot change its form.
